Plein Air Paintings Exhibition by the Plein Air Artists of Riverside(PAAR)
Thru June 5, 2010. PAAR was invited to create plein air paintings at the Riverside National Cemetery over the course of three weekends in October. Each PAAR participant has one of their paintings in the exhibit. It was a privilege to paint in the cemetery, which has graves of U.S. veterans and their families. The memorials, along with beautiful landscaping, are a fitting tribute to our veterans. Solemn dignity pervades the cemetery. Joan was inspired to paint the “POW/MIA Memorial”, the “Veterans Memorial” and the “POW/MIA Flag”.
